Scholarship Description: A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably
qualified candidate to undertake research studies leading to MPhil/PhD in
microwave photonic signal processing in the University of Sydney, Australia.
Microwave photonics has expanded to address a considerable number of important
applications which require fast and tunable signal processing capabilities. New
optical devices and photonic techniques have been developed to overcome the
limited functions for electronic analog and digital circuits implemented in the
radar/antenna systems. The project targets the design of new photonic signal
processors and high-performance microwave photonic signal processors for modern
radar/antenna/wireless systems. Teaching assistant (tutor) and lab assistant
positions are also available.
