Postdoctoral Scholarships at Max Planck Institute for the History of Science

The
Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, Berlin is offering two
postdoctoral scholarships for September 2019 intake. Candidates of all
nationalities are invited to apply; applications from women are especially
welcome.
The
Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin was established in
March 1994. Its research is primarily devoted to a theoretically oriented
history of science, principally of the natural sciences, but with
methodological perspectives drawn from the cognitive sciences and from cultural
history.

Applicants
whose first language is not English are usually required to provide evidence of
proficiency in English at the higher level required by the University.

  • Entrance
    Requirements: 
    Candidates
    should hold a doctorate in the history of science or related field at the
    time the position begins (PhD awarded in 2016 or later), and be able to
    show evidence of scholarly excellence in the form of initial international
    publications. Research projects should relate to the research agenda of
    Department III.
  • English
    Language Requirements:
