Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS, malaria and child survival, and water-borne
diseases. The program is a top DALY and CYP performer for PSI with over 820,000
DALYS and over 300,000 CYPs annually and an annual budget of over $15 million.

PSI seeks
highly qualified candidates for the position of Tunza Business Manager. The
candidate will be charged with the overall management of PSI Malawi’s Tunza
Family Health Network social franchise and the Tunza Buying Network. The
candidate will finalize the transition of Tunza from a fully-donor dependent
enterprise to one that better targets subsidies and reduces its reliance on
such subsidies over time. While remaining focused on achieving health impact
delivered through the social franchise, the candidate will be responsible for
all business aspects of the social franchise and Buying Network. The candidate
will also be actively involved in supporting integrated approaches and building
on synergies from current programming into Tunza social franchise activities.

Technical Advisor for Programs.

Job
Summary
The
person will be required to  lead the phasing out of the old Tunza model as
Tunza transitions into the new Business Model, manage  both models
simultaneously through the transition. In addition provide day-to-day
management and leadership of overall Tunza activities, including management of
budget, personnel, the Buying Network and work closely with service delivery
departments to leverage existing and future synergies across programs within
Tunza. She/he  will directly be responsible for the management and overall
successful performance of the Tunza Social Franchise. 
Duties
and Responsibilities  
·        
Lead,
inspire and manage a start-up style project and team to deliver high quality
services while driving increased efficiencies and reducing donor dependency;
·        
Develop
and implement Tunza transition plan from existing donor-funded model to
financially sustainable model
·        
Coordinate
 four interdisciplinary teams (Quality Assurance, Business, Demand
Creation and Integrated health areas) to provide the Tunza value proposition to
franchisees
·        
Ensure
 quality health services are delivered through Tunza Social Franchise
franchisees
·        
Build
business skills to ensure Tunza Franchisees are consistently increasing
revenues and growing their business
·        
Lead
 the process of Tunza Franchisee expansion
·        
Ensure
 efficient and quick onboarding of clinics to the New Business Model
·        
Adapt
tools, contracts and resources, including Franchisee Standards and Procedures
·        
Negotiate
 business opportunities for the franchise including: medical insurance accreditation,
other health service accreditations, financing opportunities for Franchisees
·        
Oversee
 the growth of the Tunza
·        
Assist
  in marketing strategy development for Tunza
·        
Facilitate
 public-private partnerships and collaborate
·        
Collaborate
 with PSI departments to leverage opportunities for integration and
service expansion within Tunza
·        
Manage
dedicated budgets and finances for  Tunza
·        
Monitor
 project spend against budgets and project deliverables
·        
Prepare
 detailed donor reports
·        
Prepare
and implement  detailed annual work plan
·        
Assist
the Country Representative to develop funding proposal
·        
Appropriately
ensure Tunza meets PSI Global Network Minimum Programmatic Standards
·        
Represent
Tunza social franchise on internal committees
Qualification
and Experience
·        
Master’s
degree in business administration, public health or relevant field
·        
Degree in
Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or a business related field; diploma
in Project Management, Business Management, or Finance is an added advantage
·        
Experience
in managing a team
·        
At least
3 years’ working experience in a business related field  of which must be
at management level; experience in health services delivery is an added
advantage
·        
Prior
experience in Sales an added advantage
Skills,
Knowledge and Personal Attributes
·        
Proven
track record of an entrepreneurial, business-driven and enthusiastic mindset
·        
High
level of attention to details in all aspects of work responsibilities
·        
Must have
excellent MS Office Suite computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
·        
Must have
demonstrated experience in developing and managing budgets as well as
International donor compliance
·        
Must be
fluent in  spoken and written Chichewa and English
·        
Fluency
in  spoken Tumbuka is an added advantage
·        
Must be
willing  to travel throughout Malawi
·        
Must have
excellent communication and  analytical skills
·        
Must have
the ability to  coordinate
