PLANT MANAGER
To manage and lead manufacturing operations to deliver high quality, on time products. Responsibilities include maintaining quality standards, interfacing with the sales department to deliver products in accordance with production requirements and participating in facility and safety management teams. Applying LEAN manufacturing principles, the plant manager will analyze and improve manufacturing processes, ensure effective and accurate turn around time, reduce production costs and cycle time, and lead efforts to incorporate new concepts into existing systems with particular emphasis on quality control,
production consistency and cost reduction.

The successful candidate will have at least five years of manufacturing experience. He or she must be an independent thinker and decision maker and be able to lead others in an enjoyable team environment. Written, verbal, planning and time management skills are essential, and experience with ERP and Microsoft Office Suite are required. The successful candidate will have experience with LEAN Manufacturing, Six Sigma or both. A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering with a professional designation is an asset.
