PhD Studentship in the School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, UK

The Sydney Driscoll Neuroscience Foundation and
Brain Tumour North West are funding full-time PhD studentship (via MPhil
route) at University of Central Lancashire in UK. The studentship is
tenable for up to 3 years (subject to satisfactory progress). The studentship
will cover the cost of tuition fees for UK/EU residents plus a maintenance
grant of £13,590 (2012/13 rate). International applicants may apply but will be
expected to pay the difference between the UK/EU and International Fee Rate.

Eligibility: –Students
should have the potential to work under your own initiative and will be
expected to interact productively with collaborators in the bio-sciences, so
excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
-Applicants should have, or expect to receive a minimum of UK 2:1 honors degree
in Chemistry (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area. An interest in organic
synthesis and medicinal chemistry are essential. An interest in the biological
evaluation of small molecules would be desirable.
