Senior Operations Engineer
Sarawak – Miri
Responsibilities:
• He reports to project manager and responsible for all offshore and onshore construction related activities.
• Shall ensure Client’s work packages are implemented in a safe and efficient manner and shall liaise with Client on all operational/safety matters to achieve this objective.
• Shall ensure that all the work barge/workboat/worksites are adequately equipped with construction equipment and qualified personnel.
• Responsible for the training programmer primarily to upgrade the skills of Malaysian construction personnel.
• Managing the welfare of offshore marine and construction personnel.
• Implementing both Client’s and company’s HSE plan.
• Shall ensure that the status and location of special equipment developed by Operations Engineer is vetted and ensure its accuracy prior to submission to Client.
• Responsible to the crew change planning.
• Responsible to the hook-up and commissioning operations of the work barge/workboat/worksites inclusive of equipment and materials.
• Focal point on all logistic.
• Report to Client on daily basis his work spread utilization and productivity performance.
• Liaison with Client’s Project Engineer on project request such as additional materials procurement, sourcing of special services, etc.
• Shall vet through the resumes of proposed personnel for Client’s approval and update and submit the database to Client on weekly basis.
• Shall be knowledgeable in the contract management.
• Shall drive the follow up actions of incident investigations until close out.
• Shall perform the duties of work barge/workboat/worksites operations engineer before the workboat and work barge is mobilized.
Requirements:
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering (Petroleum/Oil/Gas), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Others), Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• At least 6 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Engineering – Oil/Gas or equivalent.
