The
KiphAgrU group is a group that covers 3 companies under the same administrative
umbrella. One is Kipharma that has been based in Rwandan since 1969. The
company imports and distributes products for human health (pharmaceuticals,
medical equipment and instruments, medical consumables, diagnostic equipment
and consumables, etc.)

. The second company is Agrotech which imports and
distributes product for plant and animal health (veterinary medicines,
phytosanitary products, seeds, etc.).  The third company is Unipharma and
it has 4 retail pharmacies in Kigali. The KiphAgrU group has 120 employees and
provides an important range of services and products to the Rwandan
market.

Job
Summary
As
Human Resource and Administrative Manager your role will be to build a new and
strong Human Resource (HR) department for KiphAgrU that can not only function
as a provider of practicalities like; contracts, job descriptions, job
evaluations, recruitment, training and administration of staff related issues,
handling of general day-to-day administrative matters, but can also give
strategic advice to the management of the organisation in a period of growth.
The candidate will work closely with both staff and the management of KiphAgrU
in the process of reaching the HR and the administrative goals of the
organisation.
Main
Tasks
  • Be
    the first point of contact and communication between staff and management
  • Evaluate
    recruitment needs for the different departments
  • Write
    job descriptions, contracts and implement retention policies
  • Put
    a job evaluation system in place, and manage it
  • Organize
    and evaluate training for staff in accordance with the overall strategic
    needs of the group
  • Plan
    and organize salary reviews
  • Ensure
    compliance with legislations relating to personnel management (point of
    contact with the Staff Committee and other legal bodies)
  • Handle
    all the general administrative matters that arise in the group (office
    supplies, small construction and repair jobs, all problems related to the
    maintenance and repair of vehicles, small legal dossiers, etc.)

Key
Qualifications and Experience
  • A
    Bachelor or Master in Human Resource or other social sciences like;
    sociology, psychology, anthropology etc.
  • A
    minimum of 3 years of HR and Administration management experience
  • Practical
    understanding of recruitment processes, plus maintaining and writing job
    descriptions
  • Ability
    to put a job evaluation system in place, and maintain it
  • Be
    familiar with planning and organizing trainingin accordance to the
    strategic goals of an organisation
  • Have
    experience with implementing retention strategies
  • Experience
    and practical knowledge about the legislative framework in regards to
    personnel
Language
  • Full
    fluency in Kinyarwanda, and excellent verbal and written command of
    English and French is required, good knowledge of other languages is a
    plus (in particular Swahili)
