PIH operates sites
for clinical care, research, and training in 10 countries (Haiti, Peru, Russia,
USA-Boston, Rwanda, Lesotho, Malawi, Kazakhstan, Mexico, and the Dominican
Republic); and has a growing network of affiliated organizations and
initiatives in several other countries, including Nepal, Burundi, Mali,
Liberia, Guatemala, and Togo. PIH is seeking experienced professional
to fill the below position:

Overall
Responsibilities:

The IMB District
Clinical Director [DCD] is an integral member of the IMB cross-site clinical
and district-based leadership teams. 

Leadership of
district programs includes working with each IMB clinical program manager to
set strategic goals, develop work-plans, establish clear metrics, and provide
feedback and support where necessary to achieve each program’s goals. On the
district level, the DCD will work closely with the IMB District Project
Director [DPD] to build relationships with and accompany our government
partners in executing our shared clinical priorities.

The DCD will lead
and oversee the implementation of all clinical programs at each level of the district’s
health sector: community, health center, and hospital and district health
leadership. 

As an IMB clinical
leader, the DCD will: be a member of Executive Committee and help with
cross-site management issues; help the leadership team set the overall strategy
of the organization; liaise between PIH Rwanda and Boston headquarters as
needed; meet and communicate with donors; and represent IMB to our GoR partners
in the district and central government, particularly on issues related to the
medical programs they oversee for their district and for cross-sites programs.

The successful
candidate will be highly self-motivated, organized, very responsive, and
diplomatic.  She/he will provide mentorship as appropriate for clinical
program managers and partners in the Ministry of Health at all levels, build
and maintain relationships with our partners, and continue to push our
definition of success.
