The Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP) is a dynamic
and collaborative global network of humanitarian stakeholders actively engaged
in the critical areas of policy, practice and research within cash transfer
programming (CTP).
CaLP acts as a catalyst for positive transformation
within the humanitarian sector and aims to ensure that CTP is routinely
considered as a scalable component of quality, timely and appropriate
preparedness, emergency response and early recovery. We believe that when
appropriately incorporated into humanitarian response planning, CTP presents
opportunities for effective and efficient programming to meets the needs of
people and communities affected by crises.
This is an opportunity to provide high level of
professional Human Resources support to the Cash Learning Partnership’s (CaLP)
staff and managers, and to provide strategic and operational support and advice
on a range of operational human resources and learning and development
activities. The post holder will manage line manage administrative staff within
the CaLP team as required.
We are looking for…
Essential
  • Proven generalist HR experience at an
    operational level (gained in a medium/ large organisation either in the
    NGO, public or business sector).
  • Strategic thinking and decision making across
    an international organisation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of working in an
    international networked organisation, providing advice and support across
    remote teams and at various levels of seniority, and facilitating change.
  • Demonstrate strong business acumen, ensuring
    that HR policy or development activity addresses the business needs,
    providing consistent, business relevant advice to senior line managers and
    other HR staff.
  • Good organisational planning skills and a
    proven ability to work with a large degree of independence, managing own
    workload and priorities and identifying opportunities to add value to the
    business.
  • Proactive with plenty of initiative.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building
    skills and an excellent communicator with a high level of written and
    verbal English.
  • Good IT awareness.
  • Gender and cultural sensitivity and commitment
    and understanding of the values of Oxfam and the principles of equal
    opportunities.
  • Good level of numeracy and ability to produce
    and interpret management information.
  • Experience of team building and talent
    management.
  • The ability to work with others and a
    proactive approach to achieving defined goals.
Desirable:
  • Project Management Experience
  • Familiarity with UK HR law and practices
  • A working knowledge of French or Arabic.
  • Professional Qualification in Human Resources
    or studying towards (e.g. CIPD)
