About the Role
We require an experienced web
designer & front end developer to join a high performing, award winning
Perth based web design & software development team. You will be working on
a range of short & long term projects from niche e-commerce sites to
corporate websites.
Duties &
Responsibilities
You will be undertaking plann
ing
& co-ordination of projects, overseeing small team design projects, and
engaging in high level website builds using the Silverstripe CMS
platform. You will be accountable for projects, and directly responsible
for successfully designing & building websites to our clients.
Skills & Experience
You will need to be:
- an experienced designer
- have worked successfully in a small team environment
- able to build complex sites
- able to work co-operatively with developers
- a good communicator with experience interacting with
clients - someone who loves their work!
You will need to have:
- A good working knowledge of JavaScript/jQuery or
willingness to learn - Experience working with and knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Advanced knowledge of an industry-standard IDE
(NetBeans, Coda 2, etc) - Experience implementing accessible websites (WCAG 2)
Knowledge
of bandwidth-reduction techniques for web development
It would also be advantageous if
you have:
Experience
developing with contemporary front-end CSS/JS frameworks like Bootstrap
Experience
with CSS grid systems
Experience
using Svn and Git
Experience
working with the Silverstripe CMS/Framework & familiarity with the
Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence)
