Job Description
As a rapidly growing organization, we
have an inflow of new staff joining our team every month. To ensure that all
staff have the opportunity to learn about the organization, meet our farmers
and build key professional skills upon arrival, we run a two-week Onboarding
Program. The Onboarding Coordinator will coordinate all aspects of the program
playing key host to the onboarding cohort and will innovate on ways to improve
the experience.

The Onboarding Coordinator will be
responsible for maintaining and tracking the overall quality of the program and
working to constantly improve the experience of the on boarders. During quiet
times, they will also be involved in teaching classes within our training
department. A few example projects are listed below:

- Hosting
informative and educational field visits:
You will be responsible for showcasing and explaining the work of our
staff in the field and for demonstrating how to make the most of field
visits. You will be responsible for making these educational and
interactive visits. - Teaching
professional development classes (and potentially other subject areas
too): You will be responsible for recruiting trainers to deliver lessons
in professional development skills, as well as facilitating some sessions
yourself. - Global
operational management: You will be responsible for
improving the systems and operations to ensure the program runs smoothly
and is impactful. - Staff
development:
You will be responsible for further training of our staff and building the
training team capacity to run a smooth and sustainable operation. This
will include staff training, constant mentorship, and feedback.

Qualifications
We are seeking exceptional
professionals with 1 to 3 years of work experience, and a demonstrated
long-term passion for development work. Candidates who fit the following
criteria are strongly encouraged to apply:

Experience:
Candidates should have 1-3 years of strong teaching experience. Candidates
should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative, results-driven
environment. They should also be ready to get their shoes muddy leading
interactive field visits. - Leadership:
We are looking for candidates with demonstrated leadership experience at
work, or outside of work. Examples of demonstrated leadership experience
include managing a team or initiating a new project. - Education:
Strong undergraduate background at top East African University or
International University. Degrees in education, social sciences, community
development, or related fields preferred. - Interpersonal
skills:
This is a people-focused role. The candidate should be naturally
welcoming, open and friendly with the ability to easily read and attend to
the needs of others.
- Communication:
Excellent written and oral communication. Strong translation skills. - Language:
English required, French and Kinyarwanda nice to have,
