The
Operations Innovations Department seeks to understand current challenges,
identify future opportunities, and make significant improvements in key program
areas and processes within TUBURA. To accomplish this, we rigorously research
and assess ideas before we trial them in the field. You will be part of a young
and creative team pioneering and trialing exciting innovations. You will be
based primarily in Western Rwanda (Rubengera). The position will start out with
supporting long-term projects and the implementation of design methods and
processes. Depending on your preferences and skill set you will soon take on
your own projects.

Duties
and responsibilities

- Help
innovating our program & shaping the idea finding process. - Get
familiar with HCD methods and kick-start designing innovations. - Help
conducting quantitative research, e.g. help develop questionnaires and
research data to support the analysis. - Develop
your TUBURA program fluency and support long-term research projects. - Conduct
qualitative research, e.g. conduct focus groups, in-depth interviews and
summarize and interpret the data. - Mentor
team members in professional and personal development as well as technical
skills.
Requirements
- Proactive
collaborator and out-of-the-box thinker - Can-do
attitude and a willingness to learn and expand technical and project
management skills. - Relevant
work experiences. Examples include: demanding professional work experience
in business, research, or a successful entrepreneurial experience. - Demonstrated
computer skills in email, internet usage, Microsoft Office (especially
Excel). - Exceptional
organization and information synthesizing skills, with a demonstrated high
quality of work and a strong attention to detail. - Integrity,
positive attitude, and friendly demeanor. - Passionate
about serving smallholder farmers. - Language:
Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda.
