farm families with over 1,400 full-time staff. We are Rwanda’s fastest growing
professional organization. To help maintain this growth, we are looking for an Accounting
Manager to manage the accounting operations of two of our four main
operating countries.

Manager to manage the accounting operations of two of our four main
operating countries.
Duties
and Responsibilities
and Responsibilities
- Manage
a team of accountants and bookkeepers including maintaining updated roles
and responsibilities, conducting weekly staff meetings, and conducting
performance reviews; lead weekly/monthly trainings to continue to increase
staff capacity and efficiency; create and track key performance indicators - Own
the balance sheets and income statements for two or more of One Acre
Fund’s operating countries - Manage
and improve all monthly close books processes; ensure that every cash
account is balanced and that revenue and credit are accurate, oversee the
recording of all payables and prepaid, develop reconciliation tools that can
be used with various bank statement formats - Ensure
that accounting transactions are recorded accurately and uniformly across
One Acre Fund countries; drive cross-country standardization of accounting
procedures with country counterparts - Liaise
with compliance and payments finance functions to strengthen data flow
accuracy and timeliness - Support
utilization of the current Finance documentation process and build systems
for enhanced document retention and classification - Work
with the global finance team to accomplish finance team goals
Requirements
- A
university degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field. Master’s
degree is an advantage.
- Minimum
2 years of professional work experience in Accounting, Finance or related
field. - Accounting
certification required, CPA or ACCA or equivalent - Advanced
computer skills including Microsoft Office, and experience working with an
ERP System (SAP experience preferable) - Experience
managing a team - Demonstrated
integrity, has leadership and problem solving skills - Fluency
in English, French and Kinyarwanda - Effective
communication skills
