Organization Description
One Acre Fund – Tubura is a social enterprise that
serves smallholder farmers with a bundle of training, inputs and credit.
Currently, we serve 60,000 Rwandan farmers, under the brand ‘Tubura’. We do not
give handouts, but ask farmers to invest in their future through participating
in our program. Their investment in modern agricultural techniques increases
their harvest. To further equip Tubura to make Rwandan smallholder farmers more
prosperous, we are looking for applicants that are driven, hardworking, and
have successful professional records to fulfill different roles on our

Your Duties:
· Conduct ELISA testing on plant samples to detect
various viruses

· Receive and document lab samples from field staff
· Extract liquid from plant samples using mortar
and pestle

· Measure out exact quantities of reagents using
pipettes

· Keep the laboratory clean
Our Requirements
We are seeking a trained laboratory technician with
at least 6-9 months of experience Experience running ELISA testing strongly
preferred Experience working with plant matter desired, but not
necessary Strong attention to detail and work ethic Good command of
English; Some Kiswahili preferred
