This role reports to the Gin Manager
and involves all aspects of the operation – repairs and maintenance, risk
management, safety, production, and team leadership.

Reporting to the Gin Manager Wee Waa,
you will:

- Diagnose
potential problems and make decisions about corrective actions to avoid
downtime within cotton ginning operations - Ensure
the Gin runs as productively as possible to ensure optimal spend on the
five direct costs – Electricity; Gas; Salary and Wages; Baling Materials;
Repair and Maintenance - Effectively
lead the seasonal Ginning team through strong leadership and clear
direction - Lead
courageously and by example to create a culture of safe behaviour
This ‘hands on’ role is suitable for
someone with an output focus, who is able to think on their feet, troubleshoot
and wants to progress within the organisation.

The successful candidate will be
willing to live in and / or relocate to Wee Waa, have mechanical aptitude /
experience and knowledge of electronics / hydraulics to drive the plant
maintenance and production activity. In addition you will have a great work ethic,
team work and leadership skills and be willing to work 12 hour shifts (day or
night) during the ginning season.
