Eligibility: The eligibility criteria for the International Undergraduate Student
Scholarship are as follows:
-Scholarship applicants must be newly admitted first time undergraduate

-Student applicants must intend to be an F-1 or J-1 visa holder to receive the
scholarship.
-Students should (at a minimum) have the equivalent to a GPA of 3.0 from a
previous institution to qualify.
-Applicants must demonstrate an active involvement in community service
activities in their home country; including but not limited to student
leadership roles, student advocacy, involved in organizing and planning school
or community programming, and improving the overall quality of life in their
community
-The winner of this scholarship will be required to contribute in a meaningful
way to campus activities at Oakland University during their first year here.
-A letter of recommendation from a current or previous advisor or professor.
-Transfer students currently in the U.S. are eligible.
