Eacom Timber Corporation
EACOM is one of the major producers in the Eastern Canadian timber
industry. Operations include the manufacturing, marketing and
distribution of lumber and wood-based value-added products, and the
management of forest resources. EACOM currently owns seven sawmills (5
in Ontario, 2 in Quebec), a remanufacturing facility (Quebec) and a
partnership operation in an engineered I joist plant (Ontario) for a
total of 800 employees.
The Company will grow and outperform its competitors by investing in
strong assets, including healthy forests, advanced technology and
talented people.
We are presently looking for Millwrights for our Ear Falls, Timmins
and Gogama Sawmills in Ontario and our Matagami Sawmill in Quebec.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform all
maintenance and repair of equipment.
Job Description:
• Repair equipment, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic components,
automated systems as well as welding work, when needed.
• Inspect and investigate the cause of the failure or malfunction of
machinery in order to perform corrective repairs.
• Install, optimize and/or adjust all plant equipment to maximize efficiency.
• Respond to emergencies when mechanical problems occur at the operation.
• Operate machining tools to fabricate parts.

• Respect of safety standards.
Requirements:
• Experience of at least two (2) years in maintenance of industrial
equipment, preferably in a timber complex;
• Hold a college degree in industrial engineering or a diploma in
industrial or have equivalent experience Maintenance.
• Must possess a certified trade certificate/ticket Red Seal.
• Be familiar with Occupational Health and Safety legislation
• Be available to work on shifts day, evening or night. (Monday to
Friday and week-end)
