Duties
& Responsibilities

To lead and coordinate the statistical a

ctivities of the National Statistical
System in line with the NISR work plan;


To effective ensure the implementation of the Monitoring and Evaluation System
of EDPRS as a coordination tool;

To lead and coordinate the internal technical support the NISR provides to NSS
institutions;

To ensure the implementation of implementation of international standards,
methodologies and customized manuals and handbook that facilitate the
coordination of statistical activities of NSS;  

To lead and coordinate the statistical activities at the district level in
close collaboration with other NISR departments;

To lead and coordinate the implementation of statistical capacity strategy for
NISR and NSS institutions, including the support to Rwanda Young Statisticians
peer group and internship;

To do any other task related to the job as may be required by the supervisors.
Required
Minimum Qualifications and Technical Skills
AO
in Statistics, Applied Mathematics with 2 years of working experience and
knowledge of statistical softwares (SPSS, STATA, SAS, etc.).

Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing

Excellent interpersonal skills

Report writing and presentation skills

Computer skills – Creativity and initiative

Good organizational and time management skills

Team working skills

Technical understanding of system being analyzed and how it affects the various
business units

Good at handling and meeting deadlines

Multi-tasking skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and keep up
with project scope changes

Able to work well with both internal and external clients

Self-starter with leadership skills in order to take charge of or facilitate
requirement gathering sessions.

Quick learner who is easily able to learn new products, systems, applications
and technologies
