The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, responded to a Nigerian man’s harrowing footage weeping and pleading that he had only days to live as a dreaded Pakistani gang tortured him because his “brother” owed them. He was used by the man ‘s brother named Andrew as collateral for a business with the group, according to sources. However, when Andrew did not turn up to pay what he owed, the gang beat and filmed the human collateral he left behind to act as a warning.
The Nigerian man is seen in the video begging his uncle to sell all they have and pay a man named Nuruz otherwise on July 10 he will be killed.
Reacting to the harrowing video, NIDCOM said the issue has escalated for investigation by the Nigerian mission in Islamabad , Pakistan.
NIDCOM tweeted: “Our attention has been drawn to this disturbing video of a Nigerian brutally beaten up and threatened to be killed by a Deadly Pakistani Gang after his brother ripped off the gang.
“We are escalating immediately to our mission in Islamabad, Pakistan for investigation.
“We call on Nigeria Community in Pakistan to be calm as the Mission will investigate and revert.”
