peace.

Reporting
lines:
The
Intern will report to the Programs Director and work closely with the
Communications& media   Officer. The candidate will also
collaborate closely with other Never Again Rwanda’s entireprogram coordination.
Position
summary:
The
communications Intern will work closely with the Communications& Media
officer to support a broad spectrum of engagement and communication tasks
including writing, video editing, social media, and uploading and management of
the photo and video libraries.
Specific
tasks include, but are not limited to:
As
directed by, and under the supervision of the programs Director , the Intern
will:
  • Lead
    and support the production of video contents and or infographics for Never
    Again Rwanda ’s website and social media channels.
  • Draft
    and review social media content.
  • Drafting
    webstories or other pieces for never Again Rwanda’s website.
  • Attend
    events/conferences  live social media coverage.
  • Image
    management including uploading  photos to the  photo
    library.
  • Maintain
    and update the organizations’ engagement calendar.
  • Assist
    the team on any other engagement activities.
Requirements:
  • Languages
  • Fluency
    in English
  • Good
    working knowledge of French is desirable
Communications
skills
  • Excellent
    and accurate verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Ability
    to vary tone and style of writing according to target audiences
  • Ability
    to write clearly and concisely
Project
management
Evidence
of strategic thinking and proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize work,
manage and deliver projects
Required
skills
  • Writing
    scripts, editing and articles for Never Again Rwanda social Media pages.
  • Skills
    in video production and editing using Premiere Pro/ Final Cut Pro, with
    experience in animation using After Effects
  • Experience
    of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and
    PhotoShop
Overall
qualification:
  • Ability
    to work in a team and independently
  • Intense
    attention to detail
  • Passionate
    about  in peacebuilding although no prior exposure required
  • Need
    to be a self-starter, motivated and team player wishing to develop or
    continue a career in marketing/communications, journalism or in an NGO
  • Holding
    or studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
