Network Operations Analyst Job Vacancy in Belfast

Permanent, c£30,000-£35,000p/a In partnership with its client in Belfast, Cpl N.I. Ltd. is currently seeking a Network Operations Analyst for a permanent job opportunity based in Belfast.

The client:
This client is a leading global financial powerhouse. The department is customer facing, operating under commercial service level agreements.

Job Role:
• Action Service Now calls assigned to the individual Service Operations Comms Analyst
• Ensure check sheets are followed and all tasks completed as written
• Ensure all major and critical alerts are addressed / escalated in accordance to strict guidelines
• Maintain a professional manner at all times.
• EMS and SMARTS monitoring of the network
• Following check sheet tasks
• Resolution of member issues
• Performing out of hours circuit maintenance
• Performing out of hours planned network changes
• Appropriate escalation of alerts

Experience and skill set requirements:
• Cisco trained- accreditation desirable
• Familiar with the Cisco product range – 2 years+ experience required.
• Sniffer analyser, Wireshark packet capture analysis experienced
• Good knowledge of IP routing protocols – OSPF, BGP and PIM essential
• Knowledge of IP multicast functionality
• Working experience of a 1st/2nd line Network operations environment
• Ideally trained in Juniper JUNOS

The ideal candidate for this role would come from a network operations/support background with exposure to financial systems, preferably a multi- platform site. The candidate needs to be a motivated team player who shows a willingness to learn, a methodical approach to work and be able to demonstrate a solid troubleshooting ability.
