I. Manager, Procurement (1 position)
Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the Bank’s procurement
function; Accountable for inventory and managing procurements set of targets;
• Work closely with other head of departments to identify economic and reliable
sources of goods and services;
• Administer existing contracts, monitor contract escalations and pricing mechanisms;
• Monitor and manage supplier performance;
• Develop annual procurement plans for the Bank and advise the Bank on matters
related to procurement;
• Monitor activities against department objectives and submit performance reports to
management;
• Identify procurement process improvements and facilitate implementation;
• To carry out other duties as directed by the management of the Bank.
Academic and professional qualification
• The required candidate must have MBA degree in Accounting or Finance,
Procurement, Material and supplies Management, Stores Management; or in other
relevant fields with one year experience in financial management;
• Possession of relevant professional certifications is an added advantage;
• Maximum Age 40 years.
Important skills and competencies
• Up-to-date knowledge of business and financial management issues;
• Thorough understanding and knowledge of central bank operations;
• Good knowledge and understanding of international accounting standards and best practice;
• Good leadership and management capabilities;
• Ability to think strategically;
• Good planning and organisation abilities.
• Fluent in English language.
II. Manager, Financial Stability (1 position)
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead the identification of sectoral indicators of financial stability, source of information and its availability;
• Supervise the collection of data for system wide indicators;
• Manage production indicators of financial system performance;
• Lead the assessment and promotion of robustness of the financial system architecture;
• Coordinate macro-prudential analyses of the financial system;
• Lead the monitoring and co-ordination of systemic crisis prevention and resolution;
• Lead research and dissemination information on financial stability issues and risks, domestically, regionally and internationally;
• Coordinate the production and publication of annual reports on Financial Stability of the country.
• To carry out other duties as directed by the management of the Bank.
Academic and professional qualification
• At least a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or related field and relevant professional qualifications
• At least three years relevant experience in a busy and reputable organisation
• Maximum 40 years of age.
Important skills and competencies
• Ability to lead strategic planning, results-based management, and reporting.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of financial analysis techniques
• Strong leadership and management capabilities
• Strong quantitative, analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to maintain cohesive teams and to achieve goals through teamwork
• Fluent in English language.
