Reporting to the Manager, Business Improvement, this role will provide Kaizen
expertise, project delivery, business analysis, and support across a range of
functions which may include some or all of Performance Insights, Optimisation,
Business Improvement, andKnowledge Management.
The Consultant, Business Improvement will look to embed/improve Kaizen culture,
improve business decision making, operational efficiency and ensure business
outcomes are achieved through the provision of analytical support on a
consulting basis to MLC & NAB Wealth Divisional areas.
Responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following:
. Supporting the delivery of agreed service and project activities to support
team and/or Business Improvement to achieve defined objectives and
deliverables;
· Providing operational and analytical support in line with business
priorities, ensuring efficient service delivery to Divisional areas supported;
· Identifying, analysing and facilitating improvements to business systems and
processes, workflows, and customer service across Divisional areas supported;
· Provide Kaizen support and expertise to help embed Kaizen culture
· Analysing of Divisional issues as agreed with Business Improvement Managers
and/or Divisional area sponsors;
· Driving ongoing stakeholder management and engagement with colleagues at all
levels, including senior and executive leaders;
· Providing guidance, coaching and mentoring of team members;
· Ensuring projects/initiatives objectives are met within a timely and accurate
manner
Knowledge and experience required for the role:
· Demonstrated experience in business improvement & process re-engineering
experience in financial, manufacturing, or consulting
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Kaizen
· Excellent influencing, engagement and communication skills
· Excellent collaboration behaviours and relationship building skills
· Effective change management skills and a sound understanding of dealing with
change in large organisations
· Excellent coaching skills and to get best out of people
· Previous experience in Process Design and mapping using iGrafx, OBPA or MS
Visio
· Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Engineering or similar
