established, not-for-profit, community run long day care centre catering to 50
children from 6 weeks to school age.

‘Exceeding’, this service is focused on delivering quality care and education
with a focus on incorporating natural elements, culture and the wider community
within their every day practice.

support provided by the dedicated Management Committee, this centre has
demonstrated commendable staff retention resulting in a cohesive working
environment.
The Role
As part of the
vision for this service, with the assistance of a 2IC and Administrator we are
seeking an innovative Director with demonstrated leadership and staff
management abilities and a strong business acumen to inspire and motivate a
team of committed Educators to work collaboratively to achieve their strategic
goals.
The
Responsibilities
- Oversee
the day to day operations of the service with a focus on providing support
and guidance to the team
- Embody
and embrace the vision for the service of making decisions in the best
interest of the children and role model this to the other staff members
- Cultivate
collaborative relationships with parents, management committee, wider
community and external agencies including organising and hosting events
within the service
- Apply
innovative approaches to streamline processes, build relationships with
the community, motivate staff and maintain and increase occupancy.
- Manage
the finances, HR and marketing for the service in line with the company
policies and procedures including managing rosters and maintaining social
media forums.
Requirements
- Bachelor
of Early Childhood Education highly desirable OR Diploma in Children’s
Services + Supervising Officer Certificate
- An
enthusiastic, inspiring and innovative personality with an ability to
evoke a positive team culture and build community connections
- At
least 2 years experience in a management position within Early Childhood
Education demonstrating experience in administration, staff management,
financial management and HR responsibilities
- Thorough
understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality
Standards and current Education and Care Services National Law and
Regulations
- A
strong business and financial acumen with a proven ability to manage
budgets and produce regular reports and drive applications and processes
for government funding and grants
