JOB TITLE: Spare Parts Planner (Ref: SPP)
JOB PURPOSE/SPECIFICATION:
o To analyze maintenance work for ensuring availability of spare parts/tools needed.
o Prepare time & cost estimates for work orders, and define specifications of work contracted with electrical/mechanical heads.
o Control cost, analyze budget for labour, materials and investment for best quality of services.
o Reduce/eliminate unsafe conditions for workers, contractors. equipment by supporting safety programmes, using appropriate techniques and trainings.
o Update information on CMMS and generate specification for the purchase of required parts.
o Manage spare parts codification and support periodic review of spare part stock.
o Update work plans with spare part needs.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
o B.SC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
o Must be computer literate, conversant with hydraulic & pneumatic circuits, gearboxes. transmissions, welding techniques, lubrication, mechanical non-distinctive testing, function & maintenance of equipment (crusher, stacker, reclaimed, raw mill. belt conveyors and auxiliary equipment)
o Must possess communication. negotiation and analytical problem solving skills.
o Minimum 0-15 years post NYSC technical experience. Experience in cement industry will be preferred.
