This
position forms an integral part of a highly motivated team that is
delivering long term strategies and action plans for Sydney’s night life.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extensive liaison with both internal and
external stakeholders, partners and service providers, representing the
City at public meetings. - You will provide high-level advice within
and externally to the organisation, and coordinate across organisations to
ensure the delivery of services, projects and contracts within specified
time frames to improve outcomes in the City’s late night areas and in
the overall city safety. - Coordinate cross organisational responses
regarding the night time economy to improve the overall functioning and
sustainability of night time areas. - Other duties a requested by the Manager.
- Comply with any relevant legislation
applicable to the performance of the duties of this position. - Comply with legislative, industrial and
council policy requirements and standards in the areas of Equal Employment

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- Highly developed oral and written
communication skills and proven ability to research, analyse and
provide clear, high level written and verbal advice and briefings on
complex policy issues, and to interact with a broad range of senior staff,
business, government, senior politicians, technical specialists, community
members and other stakeholders. - Highly developed skills to negotiate with high
level local, state and commonwealth stakeholders, as well as liquor,
retail, cultural, business industry and community representatives. - Experience in high volume and complex
environment and proven ability to balance competing priorities in order to
meet deadlines, with highly developed project management skills. - Demonstrated high-level ability to reason
conceptually, negotiate effectively, resolve complex problems and
sensitive issues, to make clear decisions and to initiate action. - Proven ability to coordinate responses to key
issues across an organisation. - Demonstrate a commitment to Equal Employment
