Director of Results Management, Impact and Learning

MSH is currently seeking a Director of Results Management, Impact and Learning. The Director of the office of Results Management, Impact and Learning serves as MSH’s full-time central technical resource and team leader on Performance and Results Management at all levels (corporate, center, country and project) of the organization. MSH’s Results Management Framework includes Planning for Results, Implementing for Results, Measuring Results, Generating Knowledge and Learning, Sharing and Communicating Results, and focuses on the continuum of monitoring and evaluation (M&E), operations research (OR), and impact evaluation (IE) that leads to and directs MSH’s cross organizational learning.

The Director sets and monitors standards for Performance and Results Management System (RMS) across the organization; manages the data quality adherence system to validate project level data collection and analysis; supports capacity building for MSH staff and projects to ensure results-focused across the organization; and ensures the continued stewardship and success of MSH’s Results Management System. The Director also supports the results-related inputs for new proposals; oversees the management of corporate performance data and represents MSH’s RMS efforts externally.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proven programmatic, technical, and managerial skills to lead and collaborate effectively with MSH and external colleagues across a wide range of settings.
• Graduate degree in a field relevant to monitoring, evaluation, learning, accountability or similar disciplines in international public health .
• At least 10 years of progressively relevant and extensive experience in leading and managing Results Management in public health management and service delivery interventions in low-resource settings.
• A thought-leader in results management, monitoring and evaluation with a proven ability to bring about behavior change through collaboration and consensus.
• Extensive practical field experience across a broad range of programmatic areas and contexts; special experience in results-focused planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation , and communication is preferred.
• Experience in systems thinking, systemic approaches in evaluation, quantitative and qualitative research methodologies including familiarity/experience with relevant analytical techniques e.g. statistics, modeling and data reduction and processing software, e.g., SPSS, SAS MiniTabs, epiInfo, etc., and skills in identifying leverage points for positive change.
• Adept at synthesizing large amounts of data and information, and distilling these in ways that enable practical action and informed decision-making at all levels.
• Creative and innovative in measuring and evaluating international public health programs using a systems approach, and willingness to experiment and learn with other team members in the process.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally and build capacity among colleagues from culturally diverse backgrounds and in different project settings.
• Ability to travel internationally and domestically as needed.
• Spanish and/or French language preferred

The position can be based in Arlington, VA or Cambridge, MA.
