COMMERCIAL
MANAGER

Job Summary
To provide commercial direction to the business in order to maximise
profitability.

Requirements

Key
Activities:

Develops
implements and monitors MCM’s commercial short to medium term Strategic
Plan.
Develops
and implements commercial policies, procedures and standards in line with
MCMs business objectives.
Prepares,
monitors and controls the Commercial department’s annual budget.
Develops
business models and pricing strategies to improve the productivity of
existing models along the supply chain.
Develops,
implements and monitors a program of activities to support improvements in
the investment strategy.
Coordinates
the risk management process and recommend mitigation strategies.
Develops,
negotiates and implements commercial agreements to maximise returns.
Manages
the tender processes and ensure compliance to company objectives.
Develops
audit processes around key business processes.
Provides
technical support to the business to ensure that company investments are
effective.
Ensures
that employees are selected, deployed, trained, evaluated and rewarded in
compliance with existing employee management systems.
Coaches,
counsels and develops subordinate employees.
Ensures
compliance to applicable legislation and regulations.
Seek
and assesses growth opportunities that compliment and add value to the
operation.
Adheres
to and promotes Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.

Minimum
Education, Training & Experience Requirements

Business
related degree coupled with ten years’ experience, five of which must have
been at Senior Management level.
Registration
with BICA or equivalent accounting professional body a prerequisite.
ACCA/CIMA/CA
qualified.
Understanding
of SHE Management Systems (ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001).
