electrification gap. Mobisol’s proprietary solar home system (SHS) is

POSITION
OBJECTIVE
The
main task is to manage the Customer Finance Department. The candidate will
report to the Managing Director of Mobisol Rwanda and will the main contact
person for the microfinance specialist at Mobisol headquarters in Berlin.
GENERAL
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
General
responsibilities:
  • Oversee
    and take responsibility for all day-to-day operations, including credit
    assessment and approval, loan monitoring, management of overdue and
    defaulted loans, etc.
  • Ensure
    timely processing of incoming loan applications, on-going loan monitoring
    and immediate handling of customers in late repayment and default
  • Coordinate
    and manage all Customer Finance staff members in the national headquarters
    and all regional representative offices
  • Provide
    the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the
    Customer Finance Department achieves its targets
  • Support
    staff members to perform their tasks whenever needed and provide necessary
    trainings for Customer Finance staff members 
Specialized
tasks:
Together
with microfinance specialist at Mobisol Headquarters Berlin:
  • Enhance
    Mobisol’s credit assessment methodology and reporting system
  • Develop
    specialized training curricula for new and existing staff of Customer
    Finance department
  • Incorporate
    features of enhanced credit assessment methodology, training curricula and
    reporting system

Qualifications

Knowledge,
Skills and Experience (Essential)
  • At
    least 3 years of experience in managing teams of at least 10 employees
    with disciplinary and technical authority, ideally as a branch or product
    manager at a microfinance institution (MFI)
  • At
    least 5 years of relevant professional experience in credit assessment,
    ideally as a loan and supervising loan officer at a MFI. High priority
    will be given to those, which have had a high exposure to individual
    lending methodology
  • High
    level of familiarity with typical income, expenditure and cash flow
    patterns of rural and semi-urban households and micro-enterprises in
    different Rwandan regions, including farmers, herders, business owners and
    employees
  • Outstanding
    knowledge background in agriculture (crop and soil variety, crop cycles,
    farming methodologies, crop yield, agricultural value chains and risks,
    etc.)
  • High
    level of creativity and flexibility to enhance and incorporate unorthodox
    loan procedures. First experience with credit scoring a strong asset.
  • Willingness
    to occasionally travel to regional Mobisol representative offices
Knowledge,
Skills and Experience (Desirable)
  • In-depth
    experiences in training staff (classroom trainings, role plays,
    on-the-job-training, etc.)
  • Ability
    to work in and manage remote teams
  • International
    work experience in Europe, North America, etc. a strong asset. Alternative
    high exposure to frequent remote communication with northern headquarters
    or partners possible as well

Loan Account Monitoring and Credit Assessment Officer assess customer ability
to pay and their due diligence. S/he ensures the quality ( i.e completeness and
accountability) of the customer qualification form is maintained.
MAIN
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
:

    and evaluate customer qualification forms, received as soft copies from
    Market Hubs.
  • Enter
    customer details into the Mobisol Database.
  • Create
    customer account with Payment ID.
  • Tag
    customers in the data base.
  • Prepare
    monthly analysis of customer ability to pay.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At
    least Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Computer

Objective;
Mobisol
Market Hubs (MH) is local service centre focusing on sales and handing over
systems to the customers. Each MH consists of a MH Operator (running the
place), some Sales Agents (doing the sales) and some Technicians (installing
and maintaining the systems). The MHs and their teams are strategically located
and assigned to the Regional Hub. The MH teams are coordinated by the so-called
MH Monitoring team in the Regional Hub. The Market Hub (MH) Team Leader is
supervising the MH monitoring team, consisting of the Sales Agents (SA) Coordinator,
the Technician Coordinator and the Market Hub Operator (MHO) Coordinator.
MAIN
