Progressive Chartered Accountancy firm located in inner eastern suburbs in modern offices seeks a well presented and professional ‘business services’ accountant.
This role provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual who wants to progress their career in a professional environment with CA support and training. The role involves preparing financial statements, tax returns, management reports and other special project & consulting assignments for the firm’s corporate client base.
Candidates must have between 1-3 years business services (accounting & tax) experience in a professional accounting firm.
Salary is negotiable depending upon quality & amount of experience.
The ideal candidate should be:
– Well spoken and be professionally presented
– Have strong communication skills (written & verbal)
– Enthusiastic, pro-active and self motivated
– Able to work in a team environment
– Degree qualified
– Able to prepare accounts & tax returns for small business enterprises (companies & trusts)
– Able to prepare management accounts & reports
– Have strong analytical skills
– Proficient in MYOB AE (Sol 6), Premier & Accountants Plus
– Proficient in Microsoft (particularly Excel)
– Knowledge of BGL Simple Fund would be an advantage

– Preparation of financial statements & tax returns
– Preparation of management accounts & reports
– Preparation of budgets & cash flow statements
– Preparation of investment reports
– Preparation of other special project reports
– Liaising directly with clients
