Key Area of Responsibilities
The successful Candidate will be responsible for:
• Developing suitable and cost effective recruitment, resourcing and retention strategies to attract talented
people including succession planning whiles ensuring strict compliance with social policy and underpinning procedures.
• Developing strong evaluation, selection and induction process to get the best from chosen employees
• Developing, enforcing and maintaining suitable HR policies in line with the group objectives
• Developing and maintaining job class and description as well as work with regional management to train employees
• Ensuring timing and accurate payroll and conduct salary negotiations during interviews
• Conducting audits to identify skills, safety and environmental risk and implement proactive strategy to drive improvement
• Effectively assist regional management in the negotiation of key contracts including union, benefit, and employment among others
• Reward and recognition initiatives to promote employee satisfaction and motivation
• Training employees on safety and environmental practices
• Developing proactive performance management programs for the company and enforcing compliance for the development /monitoring of staff
Ensure accurate tax, pension and other government requirement as well legal updates
Desired Skills & Experience
Qualification and Skill Requirements
As the successful candidate, it is essential that you possess the following skills and experience:
• Masters in Business Administration (MBA-HR Option) and a professional Certification in HR (PHR CIPD, SPHR) a member of a professional body such as SHRM, will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 10 years experience, with at least 5 years in management in a Heavy industrial Environment
• Must have Knowledge of competency based frameworks and ability to identify employee training needs
• Ability to plan and prioritize workload
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to implement and interpret HR policies and employment legislation
• A sound and up-to-date knowledge of the Ghanaian Labour law
• Must be a strong and result oriented leader
• Must have problem solving, people management and good negotiation skills
• Must have the rights to work in Ghana
