The Instituto Mesoamericano de Permacultura (IMAP), based in
Guatemala, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower
communities and individuals usi
ng permaculture education and Mayan
ancestral knowledge. We are seeking a volunteer with fundraising
experience to support and strengthen our fundraising efforts.
This is a great opportunity to support a small dynamic organisation
that works in the area of sustainable agriculture and food
sovereignty. Compensation for your work includes a 50% discount on
lodging (on-site) and a 50% discount on workshops offered during your
stay. There is also possibility of receiving a discount on our annual
Permaculture Design Certification course (PDC). IMAP is one of the
only certifying bodies for Permaculture certification in Central
America.
As Fundraising Assistant, you will work closely with our Fundraising
Coordinator to research and develop income opportunities in the area
of permaculture; native seed saving; Mayan ancestral knowledge; and
food sovereignty.
Minimum age: 25 years old. A close working relationship with our IMAP
team is required of this position, therefore the ability to
communicate in Spanish is a must.
