The Role
Our Logan Foster
& Kinship Care team has exciting opportunity for a highly motivated
professional to join the team. We have an immediate position
available that is Fixed Term Full Time for a period of six months
(ending 04/01/17), this role is located within our Goodna Office.
The role is
responsible for supporting and developing foster care and kinship carer’s
within Family Services to enhance the wellbeing of children and young people.

will play a key role in supporting MCS clients as part of
the Goodna Foster & Kinship Care team, to see more about this

To be
successful in the role, you will have:
A
degree in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or other tertiary
qualifications relevant to the program.
Demonstrated
skills and experience in working with children and families, particularly in
assisting with the assessment, planning processes and support around the
management of children with difficult behaviours.
Ability
to analyse, evaluate and make objective judgements, and the ability to
articulate recommendations for carer assessments within a structured assessment
framework.
Demonstrated
interpersonal skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate and concise
written case notes and reports.
The
ability to work as a member of a team within MCS, the Department of Communities,
Child Safety and Disability Services and with other key stakeholders.
Demonstrated
intermediate ability to use computer IT systems including MS Word and Excel.
Queensland
Provisional Green or above Driver’s License.
Ability
to obtain positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and
any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.

out-of-home care working with children and families.

The Fixed Term
Full Time (ending 04/01/17) position offer a competitive remuneration
package of $61,512 – $64,307 (pro rata) in line with a
level 5 of our Enterprise Agreement. You will also have the
opportunity to increase your take-home pay by salary sacrificing and other
benefits available within our Enterprise Agreement.
