Media Systems General Manager Job Vacancy in Rwanda

Our client Media Systems in Rwanda is seeking to recruit an experienced, self motivated and a hardworking manager who should be able to work with the company to be competitive in today’s dynamic business environment for the vacancy below;

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Overall management of the business which entails overseeing all departments and ensuring optimal use of company resources to enhance shareholders value through revenue maximization.
• Financial management and control which will involve overseeing the accounting, budgeting, procurement and financial reporting processes.
• Timely submission and presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial/operational reports is a key deliverable.
• Planning, costing, implementation and monitoring of any projects that the company pursues.
• Regular review of performance and being responsible for the overall health of the business with respect to sales value and volume, market share and profits.
• Responsible for hiring, terminations, mentoring, training and development of employees and handling of general employee issues.
• Ensure that departmental KPIs / targets are set and met to satisfy the employer and the clients.
• Ensure market competitiveness of the company’s products through adherence to quality and compliance with environmental and industry regulations.
• Together with the Operations and Marketing managers, design marketing and sales strategies for the company and develop a market penetration plan for the company’s new products.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelors Degree in marketing, communication or its equivalent, an MBA would be preferable.
• He must possess a minimum of 7 years in General Management with a Leadership position.
• Managerial level with a Media Company with at least 3 years in financial and operational management.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in excel, word, outlook, and access.
• Must have a background in running a medium sized Media Company and will also have exposure to the East African market.
• The ideal candidate should have experience of leading a team with the ability to deliver a range of media services to the local East African market including Creative design, Media management, Media house, Media monitoring, Audio visual production, Brand strategy management, Product / Education launches, Event management, Web design, Sales promotions and Market surveys.
• Must be fluent in English working knowledge in other international languages is added.
