Mechanical Engineering Manager, Liberia
Salary and Location
£60,000 – £80,000 per annum + 40% hardship bonus + accommodation + food allowance
We have a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an Mechanical Maintenance Manager to take responsibility for the efficient and safe running of my clients mining site in Liberia.
Role Profile
The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will be required to perform the following duties:
– Oversee and ensure the inspection and analyses of physical availability conditions of equipment, machines, vehicles and facilities.
– Ensure the availability of machines mechanic, equipment, vehicles and facilities through predictive, preventive and correctional maintenance activities.
– Ensure the maintenance plans and schedule, as well as the control over the availability conditions of the equipment, vehicles, machines and facilities.
– Ensure the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of vehicles, machines, equipment and facilities.
– Inspect the workshop and tool room’s equipment upkeep.
– Effectively monitor the maintenance costs for accounting of expenses and cost reduction study.
– Establish the required quantity and specifications of the materials and spare parts for the execution of the services.
– Provide orientation and training to mechanics and assistants in the several maintenance operations.
– Ensure the quality of the contracted services by supervising compliance with contracted items.
– Ensure team motivation and performance optimization by monitoring the development of activities and incentives to achieve objectives.
– Ensure the health and safety of in-house and outsourced teams shall be secured through effective preventive and corrective actions.
– Observe, control and comply with the Environmental regulations in the several maintenance operations.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in a machines, vehicles and facilities maintenance managers role and will be able to demonstrate the following qualities:
– A bachelor”s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
– Good level of technical and operational knowledge in the field of plant and/or facilities management within a heavy industrial environment
– Solid experience within a Maintenance Managers position
– Excellent English, and knowledge of appropriate technology
– Candidates are required to work in Liberia on a permanent basis so must be happy to live and work away from home
