largest farm in West Africa requires a Feedmill Supervisor who will be
responsible for handing feed mill and producing commercial broiler & layer
feed-aqua feed & feed for chickens of different ages.

Description

Supervises
and coordinates activities of workers engaged in grinding, screening, and
mixing stock and feed from grain and other ingredients according to
specifications
Directs
grinding of feed materials, such as grain, alfalfa, and corn cobs in
hammer mills, or attrition mills, or roll grinders and mixing of ground
feed with malt, mash, molasses, salt, soda, vitamins, and other
ingredients, according to formula.
Collect
and analyze samples for in-process quality control
Ensure
that the mills are running at their optimum production rate
Assist
in the management of the mills
Adjust
separators as required for quality control or operating efficiency
Monitor
and maintain a consistent mill charge
Manufacture
products and oversee storage, trans loading and packaging activities
according to required specifications
Oversees
cooking, cooling, and pelletizing of feed
supervise packing of feed and storage and shipment of feed products.
Ensure
operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive
maintenance requirements on motors, pumps, pneumatic systems, conveyor
systems, and production machines
Monitor
and assess the operating condition of the equipment and report or correct
any current or pending problems
Ensure
that the mill and surrounding area is kept open and orderly
Conduct
and record inventory reviews of operating supplies
Filling
and emptying barrels

Requirement

Minimum
4 years of experience in handing 50 MT per day feed mill
Electrical
educational background will be preferred

Description

Works
with the Plant Manager in assessing and planning organization design to
maintain the most efficient and effective organization arrangement.
Selects,
reviews and, if necessary, disciplines and terminates superintendents and
other immediate subordinates.
Provides
Plant Manager with reports and information as necessary or required that
will enable him to review critically the packing operations of the
division, and to provide constructive advice and guidance as to
possibilities for improvement.
Formulates
and oversees development of short and long range strategic plans.
Reviews
and evaluates monthly reports such as labor variable and fixed cost, cost
and equipment, plant cost, agrimetrics, product mix, comparative plant and
target price versus mix reports.
Maintains
high level awareness of trends in poultry industry as well as further
processed food related to poultry and communicates ideas to appropriate
staff.
Reviews
on a daily basis reports on sales, yield, grade, daily dock, price,
inventory, accounts receivable and other cost reports and information to
ensure awareness of any deviation from the norm, and to spot trends and
make necessary adjustments.
Reviews
and evaluates departmental budgets to ensure their compatibility with
division goals and objectives.
Maintains
current awareness of governmental regulations as well as possible new
legislation affecting the poultry industry.
