Summary:
Summerhill develops and executes profitable strategies that move the market toward better choices for consumers and the environment. Currently we are seeking an experienced Marketing Communications Coordinator to provide direction and strategic support to the Marketing Department in the busy Summerhill head office. Preferred candidates will have previous experience and expertise marketing and communications. Our ideal candidate is also passionate about the environment, a competent go-getter who is dedicated to achieving results. This role is based in the Toronto Head Office, and reports to the Marketing Director.
Job Responsibilities:
• Leading and designing public-facing consumer and B2B events
• Leading the PR function, including the writing of press releases, newsletters, etc
• Establish database marketing strategy
• Develop and execute blogging strategy and capability
• Support brand building strategies
• Apply for and submit awards on behalf of Summerhill
Qualifications:
• A passion for the environment is essential
• 2-3 years of related work experience
• Must possess a strong character, sound judgment, confidence and enthusiasm
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is an asset
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite of tools
• Ability to work well independently, multi-task and self-manage
• Excellent organization and detail management skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong ability to prioritize in a dynamic work environment
• An interest in social media and social media strategy
