Mansfield Outdoor Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic outdoor education instructor to fill a year-round, full time position starting February, 2012. We are a privately owned leader in curriculum-based
outdoor education for schools across Ontario, located in the rolling hills of beautiful Mulmur Township, 100km north of Toronto. Our main focus is residential trips for students in grade 6-8. We also run residential summer camps (including a French language camp) throughout July and August.
Responsibilities
A successful candidate will be responsible for teaching curriculum-based outdoor programs, cross-country ski lessons, and working as a senior staff member of our residential summer camps. Other duties possible based on experience and interests (marketing, program development, maintenance).
Qualifications
Experience in outdoor, experiential/environmental education is a requirement, and residential camp experience a plus. A degree in a related field is beneficial, but not as important as experience. Certified bilingualism and current NLS are strong assets.
Salary is based on experience and qualifications. On site accommodation is available but not mandatory.
