As a Customer Care Agent 1, you will respond to standard insurance and registration inquiries following established policies and procedures, and perform related transactions such as opening claims and scheduling appointments.
Responsibilities
* Respond to incoming contacts in accordance with established service standards following corporate policies and procedures
* Open new claims in accordance with claims handling procedures, ensuring that all relevant details relating to the claim are obtained from the claimant and that coverage is verified
* Advise claimants of applicable coverage, the procedures and approved process to be followed when filing and handling the claim
* Categorize new claims, schedules the necessary appointment(s), and documents a synopsis of the contact
Education
* High school diploma
Experience
* Two years of customer service or administrative office experience, or contact centre experience, including one year in a related area
Special Skills
* Ability to work shifts
* Demonstrated keyboarding skills(minimum 35 w.p.m.)
* Demonstrated proficiency with office computer applications
* Superior customer service and communication skill
