Summary:
Management and Development for Health (MDH) Is a national non-for profit organization with a prime focus on public health issues.

MDH has received grant award to support the implementation and evaluation of the initiatives to improve Prevention of HIV Transmission from Mother to Child. It is in this context that MDH is seeking to recruit M&E officer.

Job Summary
This person will be a key technical person in the implementation of data collection and reporting system and all other M&E efforts of the project. S/he will play a key role in coordinating data management, quality control and analysis and report writing.

Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide technical leadership for implementation of the project M&E system
• Coordinate supportive supervision and mentorship of the field workers to ensure proper and uniform understanding of the data collection tools
• Supervise daily data collection and reporting activities
• Ensure on time collection, collation M&E data and produce periodic reports
• Supervise the maintenance of M&E related databases in the project sites
• Prepare descriptive and analytic reports on a quarterly and annual bases and as needed
• Assists in planning, evaluation and improvement in the implementation of the project activities
• Facilitate capacity building of MDH staffs in effective monitoring and evaluation of the programs
• Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Strategic Information

Requirements:
A minimum of medical degree with additional training in statistics or public health is required.

Experience, skills and Knowledge
• A minimum of 3 years experience in working for HIV and AIDS M&E system
• Demonstrated data analysis and report writing skills using SAS and STATA
• Good knowledge in statistics or epidemiology
• Ability to communicate fluent in both English and Swahili languages
• Ability to work both as individual and as a team with minimal supervision
