Due to our client’s continuous growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Management Accounts Assistant to join this busy team. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the position provides support to the Finance Department and helps provide information to a range of departments, supporting the overall goals of the organisation. Prior experience of property, fixed assets or cap ex finance would prove desirable.
This is a key role within the Finance Department and offers scope for continued growth and professional development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintenance of fixed asset register including all month end fixed asset procedures.
• Management of fixed asset verification program, including liaising with other departments and company stores.
• Resolution and maintenance of all property queries relating to the Company’s estate (rent/rates/service charges and insurance queries).
• Completion of property licence agreements between group companies
• Provide assistance with the month end reporting process including responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations.
• Completion of daily revenue transactions.
• Provide assistance to the other accountants with the day to day running of the Finance Department.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Good/Intermediate Excel skills
• Proven track record in similar finance role
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Clear, concise and methodical working style
• Working knowledge of Sage line 200 is advantageous or experience of any other Sage packages
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Ability and willingness to adapt to a changing and growing Finance department
• Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
