Spectrum Monitoring Officer (Grade MA6)
Job purpose
The Spectrum Monitoring Officer ensures that as far
as practicable spectrum users adhere to the terms and conditions of their
spectrum licenses by way of monitoring spectrum usage using regulatory tools.
The incumbent will report to the Spectrum Monitoring Manager

Responsibilities

Undertakes
daily monitoring of frequencies to determine utilization in relation to
prescribed license conditions

data on all equipment on technical specifications for existing and new spectrum
licensees

Prepares
spectrum utilization reports based on operators’ technical audit

Maintains
the Frequency Management and Monitoring (FMM) equipment with all its associated
remote stations

Qualifications and Experience
·
Must have
an advanced Diploma in Telecommunications or its equivalent. A degree will be
