Tucker House Renewal Centre is a charitable retreat and environmental learning centre whose mission is to promote sustainable living. It carries out its mission by providing interactive ecological programs for children, youth and adults in Prescott-Russell and Ottawa and by operating and maintaining an eco-friendly retreat
facility in a natural and historic setting. This facility is located on a 30 acre property in Rockland, Ontario, a predominantly French-speaking community 30 minutes east of Ottawa. The organization also has a head office in the heart of the Glebe.
The Executive Director of Tucker House Renewal Centre is the key spokesperson of the organization in the community and provides the leadership and voice to our mission. We are looking for a unique individual to lead the organization and inspire our staff and volunteer team. The successful candidate will provide overall management of the day-to-day operations and programs of Tucker House.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES
• Committed to Tucker House’s values, vision and direction
• A minimum of two years of leadership and management experience in the non-profit sector
• Good understanding of environmental issues and experience with environmental organizations
• Proven capacity to work effectively with donors, government, media and NGO’s
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven capacity to work in a self-directed manner and ability to provide leadership and collaborate with others in a team situation
• Ability to organize a high volume of work and prioritize and effectively handle spontaneous demands
• Proven experience with fundraising and revenue generation
• Experience developing budgets and preparing financial statements
• Bilingualism required with high proficiency in English and French (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Must be a creative, energetic, flexible, motivated, and detail-oriented mature professional
• Must have access to own transportation for urban and rural interactions
• A relevant university degree and/or equivalent qualifications
Compensation: Grassroots charitable sector rate, commensurate with experience
