client is a company with a market leading position and several well-known
brands.  A rare and exceptional opportunity has arisen for a mid-level
commercial lawyer to join this iconic organisation’s legal team on a 12 month
contract basis with potential for permanency.

Reporting to the General Counsel and working as part of a close-knit team, the responsibilities
of this role include:

  • advising
    on a range of commercial contracting issues;
  • negotiating
    and drafting various commercial contracts including procurement,
    consulting and supply contracts;
  • assisting
    with liquor licensing applications and regulatory compliance;
  • reviewing
    promotions, competition and marketing collateral;
  • coordinating
    advice surrounding IP, property, consumer law and privacy issues; and
  • assisting
    with some commercial litigation (occasional).
This
opportunity would suit an ambitious commercial lawyer with 3 to 6 years’ PQE
and a commercial nous wanting to join a dynamic fast moving business.
Candidates with liquor licensing experience and an ability to identify
commercial risk will be favourably considered.
