Salary – $11.75 – $14.25/hour

Located in Southern Ontario, our diverse landscape of meadows, forest, fields and wetlands inspire the student to view their natural environment in a whole new way. Learning Unique Natural Alternatives is what we’re all about, promoting self sufficiency, confidence, and respect for our natural world. Our site is a true testament to our vision. With 90% of our infrastructure being portable yurts powered by renewable resources; LUNA has a very small footprint on its surrounding environment, truly practicing what we teach.
With LUNA a growing concern, we’re looking to fill a key role in helping keep our office on track and current. The Office Manager position is an important role in our organization and one that we require an experienced, organized, and resourceful person to fill. The successful candidate MUST have experience working in the outdoor industry/non-profit, and or summer camp field.
Compensation will depend on the qualification of the successful candidate.
Core Responsibilities
• Answer general phone inquires
• Manage various daily clerical functions
• Assist with customer relations
• Perform regular website and communications updates
• Problem solving of office obstacles
• Coordinate volunteer projects
• Maintain communications within the organization
• Manage accounts payable and receivables
Basic Qualifications and Experience
• Ontario Secondary School Diploma
• Knowledge of word processing, databases and spreadsheets,
• Experience with bookkeeping software
• Proficient knowledge of various email, internet, and office systems and equipment
• Minimum 1 Year experience working in related field
Preferred
• Post-secondary education in business or office management and/or two years related experience
• Skilled at grant and funding proposal writing
• Work or volunteer experience in a non-profit setting
