Licensed Practical Nurse Permanent Part Time
FTE: 0.80
Salary Range: $22.70 – $29.72 per hour
Hours of work: Evenings (1500 – 2315: 8 shifts/2 weeks)

Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse’s (LPN) role is interdependent and collaborative with input and direction from the RN and/or ARCM but being accountable for his/her own actions. Works within the scope of the position, policies, procedures, mission, vision and values of Covenant Health – Youville Home. Facilitates continuity of care by implementing the documented plan of care. Works with the resident, family and other health care team members. Observes and documents the physical and psychosocial status and needs of residents and families and communicates such to the RN. Actively participates in the process of Q.A. & I. Demonstrates an awareness of accident and injury prevention; adheres to safe work practices and procedures; and is responsible for maintaining self-wellness and acceptable attendance (as per Youville Home standards). Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Completion of recognized program for Licensed Practical Nurse and currently registered.
Must have successfully completed CLPNA approved applied pharmacology with medication therapy and infusion therapy courses as part of, or in addition to, the basic education.
Completion of additional CLPNA approved education in adult physical assessment and/or health assessment of the elderly client required.
Completion of CLPNA approved advanced physical assessment and health promotion preferred.
