for a scholarship to help fund your course at Liverpool John Moores University
What
types of scholarships are available?
LJMU will be
awarding a range of generous international scholarships for students enrolling
at the University in Sept
ember 2016.
These prestigious
scholarships take the form of tuition fee waivers and are available for
outstanding international students applying for undergraduate courses, taught
postgraduate programmes and research degrees.
Bursaries will also
be available for students enrolling on the six week English for Undergraduate
and Postgraduate Studies course offered by the University’s International Study
Centre.
If you are an
alumnus of LJMU you are entitled to a 15% fee reduction on our postgraduate
programmes.
Am
I eligible?
Scholarships are
available to outstanding international students applying for an undergraduate
course, taught postgraduate programmes and research degrees. International
students studying on a distance learning course are not eligible to apply for
international scholarships.
Five
steps to apply for an LJMU international scholarship
- Submit
a current English Language Test Score as part of your LJMU course
application (unless you are exempt under for example UK Visas and
Immigration guidelines). - Complete
an additional application form in
order to be considered for International Scholarships. Scholarship
applications will only be accepted after you have applied using an
official course application form either via UCAS for undergraduate students or
via our online application form. - Use
your unique student LJMU applicant ID number for the scholarship
application form, those
forms without this ID will not be accepted. - Be sure
to provide as much detail as you can about yourself, your ambitions for
the future and what you hope to achieve while you are at LJMU. Include
information about paid or voluntary work experience and how you plan to
use your LJMU qualification and experience once you return home. - A panel
will review your application and make a decision on whether you will be
awarded this financial support.
Before applying for
a scholarship you need to consider that these scholarships only offer full and
partial discount on tuition fees. You will still need to self-finance the
balance of your tuition fee (if applicable), your accommodation, daily living
and travel costs while you are in the UK.
A postgraduate
scholarship application will be considered for both the LJMU Roscoe
International Scholarship and the Developing Global Citizens Postgraduate
Scholarship.
