Under the direct supervision of the Director of Engineering & Technology, the IT Manager will review, recommend and implement the structure of the Information Technology Section of the Liberia
Telecommunications Authority (LTA).
JOB DESCRIPTION:

IT Support Services
a. Improve staff access to computers, email and Internet/web portal.
b. Expedite and assist staff to resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
c. Available periodic orientation and/or training to staff on how to use computer hardware and software and other peripherals and technology tools useful for the job. System Maintenance & Repairs All computer systems within the LTA be maintained (preventative maintenance) on a regular basis and/or as needed. Internet Connection Services
d. Use of a high speed Internet connection based on broadband connectivity acquired locally or globally outsourced. Network and Telecommunication Services
e. The IT department maintains all the LTA networks (LAN and WAN) with highly trained and skilled technicians. A proper cabling infrastructure, including wires, router, switches and hubs, should be required for connectivity. Wireless access points may also cover some of the departments/areas within the agency.
f. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
SPECIFIC ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED BY THE IT MANAGER:
Analyze and list the IT requirements and demands of the LTA Enhance the existing IT capacity and infrastructure Analyze and list the requirements of technical needs/assistance by the LTA Analyze the existing IT resource levels to ascertain if additional resources are required to adequately manage the new state of the art IT system.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems is required. MCSE, CCNA Certifications required. Minimum 7 (Seven) years’ plus experience in IT / Computer science or networking WAN or LAN network experience is required. Supervisory experience in the IT sector (a plus)
