The job
Reporting to
the Chief Executive Officer, the ideal candidate will offer strategic
leadership in the overall performance of retail banking and operations in the
company. The position holder will be responsible for growth in customer base,
deposits, loan book and profitability and ensure operations run smoothly while
mitigating business risks based on the long and short term business strategies
and objectives.

He/she will;

Manage the Operations of the company including all
aspects of planning, deposit mobilization, loan portfolio growth, portfolio
quality management, income growth, marketing, staff supervision and performance
management, capacity building and managing stakeholder relationships.

Develop and implement plans for effective customer
service, marketing, product development and research for client retention and
growth.

Ensure overall achievement of company targets as per
the annual work plans including coordinating the preparation, implementation
and monitoring of retail banking and operations budget.

Ensure all branches are profitable and operate within
the established policies and procedures and comply with all regulatory
requirements and ensure that all audit recommendations are implemented within
the set timelines and that all operational risks are mitigated.

Requirements
The position
requires a degree in a business related field from an internationally
recognized university with at least 5 years’ experience in microfinance with at
least 2 years in senior management or 2 years’ experience in a senior
management position in the mainstream commercial banks.

The Individual
must demonstrate past practical skills of aggressive sales management,
marketing management, deposit mobilization, product development, performance
management, excellent relationship management, computing and presentation
skills. The position holder must be a strategic thinker and of good judgment
able to ‘demonstrate strong leadership and problem solving skills, strong
interpersonal and communication skills with ability to motivate teams while
maintaining high standards of integrity.
