This particular legal practice is highly profitable and offers a full range of
commercial and personal legal services including Company | Business Law,
Commercial | Residential Property, Planning & Environment, Construction
Law, Estates | Succession Law, Employment Law, Family Law, as well as
Commercial Litigation | Personal Injuries,
The firm has a long history in the business community and has more than 20 Fee
earners, and the expertise within the Partnership is spread across
Practitioners with 15 to 30+ years post admission. They are service oriented
professionals with an excellent reputation for providing superior legal services
to their clients across a range of industry sectors.
As a mid-sized Brisbane CBD law firm, this practice has established systems and
strong leadership/management to make the running of the practice seamless for
practitioners who simply don’t want to be distracted with the day-to-day
operational issues such as human resources, revenue/finance, and the headaches
associated with practice administration.
THE ROLE
The firm has a proven history of successfully accommodating senior
practitioners looking to wind down to 2, 3 or 4 days per week yet keep their
hands (and head) actively involved in the very thing they have known and loved
for decades.
They are well-resourced with junior to mid-level lawyers there to assist you
when you need some research or grunt work completed as well as a safe pair of
hands to keep transactions bubbling along on your days off golfing or
fishing.
Typically you will have a long-standing clientele that you have established
over the years in any ONE of the following practice areas:
- Property
– development, sale/purchase, or leasing of commercial, industrial or
residential property; - Commercial
| Business – negotiation & drafting of contracts/advices; sale and
purchase of businesses; start-ups/incorporations; and business succession;
- Construction
Law – BCIPA claims, construction litigation, or QBCC claims; - Wills
& Estates; - Commercial
Litigation; - Plaintiff
Personal Injuries.
WHAT YOU GET
This is a lateral appointment as a Consultant (or similar title) to give you
the recognition and respect from your peers.
You get to choose your own hours – work as much or as little as you like. A
highly rewarding remuneration package will be negotiated with you and will be
structured according to what works for you. Typically this would be a package
formulated to reward you for the revenue you/your clients generate, regardless
of who does the work.
The supportive workplace will provide the resources you need to make things
happen, while collaborating with other senior practitioners at your level to
make this an enjoyable role when you’re not outdoors enjoying life on your days
away.
